To yoga or not to yoga.. that is the question..!
Whether you are an absolute beginner looking to discover the joys of yoga for the first time or are much more advanced yogi, our friendly experienced yoga teachers are ready to look after you.
We believe in the benefits of Yoga retreats in Africa and hope you will take up the opportunity to enjoy some of the African Safari experience yoga sessions whilst you are on holiday. We suggest that morning classes should be invigorating to set you up for the day, whilst evening African safari yoga class should be more relaxing and restorative - the perfect wind down at the end of your day.
Any African safari yoga retreat class is a structure we give ourselves to for a set period of time putting us in touch with who we really are and can clarify what we truly value. The boundaries provide an essential structure for the retreat to support meditation, reflection and community living which makes it both a challenge as well as a rewarding experience.
We ask you to come being aware and willing to support the conditions of our Affordable Yoga Retreats. In the context of a place of peace, quiet and natural beauty, where you can experience a deeper sense of yourself and the world, through meditation, reflection and real communication with like minded people.
Coming together for a time to share what is most valuable in life and to support one another. This sense of connection comes from engaging in communal activities like group discussions, sharing a meal together. Many lasting friendships have begun on retreats.
Bring along an open mind and see what emerges, it could change your life... for the better.
From Humble Beginnings
After more than 15 years in the corporate travel world, Tracy was encouraged to start a business that offered health and wellness vacations to Southern Africa.
Her fruitless efforts in sourcing a value-for-money, quality African Yoga retreat, coupled with her wide experience in the travel and tours industry, Afrikan Blues was ultimately born.
Tracy has a passion for travel and a knack for creating memorable experiences for travellers that last a lifetime. Every experience she creates exudes her zest for life and passion for the wilderness.
The highlights of her travel career were the successful creation and co-ordination of large tour groups in and around Southern Africa. Later she travelled further afield to Central America where she discovered the life changing benefits of yoga, which became her core focus. If Tracy is not ‘grounding’ herself touring mountains or forests, she will be practicing yoga or volunteering at animal shelters, experiences which she finds to be deeply rewarding.
For the past five years she has maintained a daily Africa yoga practice which has had a profoundly positive effect on her physical and mental well-being. Tracy loves being surrounded by people that have a strong ethical compass and who prefer to help and inspire others just as she does.
She has a passion for open spaces, forests and wild animals. Among the many organizations she supports her favourite is the not-for-profit African Wildlife Conservation Fund – an organisation working for wildlife conservation, something that is close to her heart.
